Corporate Social Responsibility (CoSoRe)

Funding information

Project duration: 11/2001 – 10/2003

Project code number: VS/2001/0387

Funding guideline: ESF Art 6

Project concept

Initial situation

In Germany, there is a deficit of research on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), especially among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Dort sind dezidierte CSR-Aktivitäten eher selten. Eine Förderung des Bewusstseins für CSR war daher erforderlich.

Target groups and their benefits

The CoSoRe project was aimed at managers and employees of small and medium-sized enterprises. In addition, social partners, local communities and training and further education providers were to be addressed.

Role of ISOB

ISOB takes over the continuous monitoring, quality assurance and internal evaluation of the project activities. In addition, ISOB supports the development of the CSR tool and is responsible for its dissemination.

Products and publications

  • Conduct a study on CSR activities, the way stakeholders are communicated with, and the cultural traditions and expectations of corporate engagement
  • Conduct an awareness campaign to raise awareness of the benefits of CSR and create a common understanding
