Project concept
Initial situation
Certain groups of people are disadvantaged in the labour market, especially older people and migrants. There is a need for new ways to integrate disadvantaged groups of people into the labour market, to bundle counselling and support for business start-ups, and to strengthen employment potential and quality assurance in the social economy. Further fields of work are the adaptation of enterprises and their employees to structural change in order to strengthen competitiveness.
Target groups and their benefits
The report focused on network learning in three EQUAL Development Partnerships: Skills in Tourism (KIT), FAIR plus and Solving Employment Issues through a New Cooperation of Economic and Social Systems (So_WirtS!).
Project goal
The aim of the EQUAL Community Initiative is to address the specific problems of discrimination, inequality and social exclusion in the labour market. EQUAL makes it possible to test concepts aimed at analysing the causes of discrimination and inequality in the context of the world of work and to develop proposals for new ways of countering them.
Role of ISOB
ISOB took over the scientific accompanying research and published a report co-financed by funds from the research and development programme "Learning Culture Competence Development".

- Testing, evaluation and report on the three EQUAL Development Partnerships.
Partnerships
In the first funding round, 109 Development Partnerships were funded to find and test exemplary ways of integrating disadvantaged groups of people into the labour market. In the second round of funding, a total of 25 countries are involved in the implementation of EQUAL, as well as partners from different cultures and labour market policy traditions from which it is important to learn and integrate.
