situation<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Health is particularly dependent on interpersonal communication between patients and health professionals. Nevertheless, in health care education and training, more emphasis is placed on the acquisition of technical skills than on interpersonal skills, even though they are crucial for the quality of care and adherence to treatment. It also influences patient satisfaction and length of hospital stay. Studies show that clinical experience is not sufficient to acquire social skills. Rather, specific and regular training is required to build up competence. <\/span><\/p><p><strong>Target groups and their benefits<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The HealthComm Simulator project is aimed at healthcare students, active healthcare professionals and European universities and health authorities. The aim is to create a simulation-based e-learning tool that complements classroom training, reduces costs and enables training at any time and any place. The tool can be applied in many areas of professional, technical and continuing education in the field of healthcare.<\/span><\/p><p><strong>Project goal<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The aim of the HealthComm Simulator project is to develop a virtual learning environment to improve communication strategies in health care, the quality of care and the satisfaction of users
